Fried chemmeen – 200 gram
Onion – 2
Green chilly – 4
Ginger paste – 1 tea spoon
Garlic paste – 1 tea spoon
Chilly powder – ½ tea spoon
Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
Fennel seed powder(perunjeerakam) – 1 pinch
Coriander leaves, curry leaves – chopped – little
Grated coconut – ½ cup
Coconut oil – 2 table spoon
Roasted rice powder – 1 cup
Salt – as required

Method of preparation

Clean the prawns very well. Then add turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt and cook it. ( if the prawns size is big then cut it) heat coconut oil in a pan , add onion, green chilly and sauté . add garlic paste, ginger paste and mix. Then add the cooked prawns into it and sauté again. Add fennel seed (perunjeerakam) powder, grated coconut and fry it and keep it aside. Take the rice flour, add required slat into it, add little hot water and knead it to become thick dough. Then make it small balls in the size of lemon and spread it. place the chemmeen masala into it and make balls. Keep this balls in appachembu and cook it by steaming.
