Fish – ¼ kilo
Grated coconut – little
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
Chilly powder – 1 tsp
Kudampuli – small
Cumin seed – little
Onion – 8 nos
Ginger – small piece
Garlic – 3 cloves
Green chilly – 5 nos
Curry powder – as required
Oil / mustard seed / Salt – as required

Preparation method

Grind roughly the grated coconut, one pinch of chilly powder, cumin seed, ginger, garlic . Heat oil in a pan. Add the mustard seed and allow it to splutter. Add chopped onions, green chilly, curry leaves and roast well. Add the paste and the soaked kodampuli and salt and mix well. On boiling drain out the water from the fish and add it into the mix and cook. Add required salt and allow the water to get drained. Fish Peera is ready to serve.
