Kappa Biriyani - Adukkala

Kappa Biriyani

Ingredients:

1. Kappa (Tapioca) – 2 kg
2. Beef -1 kg
3. Garam masala -1 tsp
4. Meat masala – 4 tsp
5. Chilly Powder – 4 tsp
6. Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
7. Pepper powder – 1 tsp
8. Coconut grated – 2 cup
9. Onion – 5 nos.
10. Garlic – 2 nos.
11. Green Chilly – 5 Nos.
12. Ginger -1 piece
13. Curry leaves – 2 stems
14. Coconut oil – 1 tsp
15. Salt to taste

Preparation:

Cut the tapioca to small dices and cook in water. Drain the water once cooked and keep aside. To the cut cubes of Beef (with bones) add meat masala, chilly powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, ginger and garlic and cook well. Grind the coconut with greenchilly, onion, garlic and curry leaves. Add this curry paste, cooked beaf, garam masala and coconut oil to the cooked tapioca and mix well. Kappa Biriyani is ready.
